Mr Ahmed

Mr Ahmed is a Spinal Orthopaedic consultant at Princess Alexandra Hospital/ Harlow, having previously worked as a spinal consultant in Norway. He is fellowship trained having undertaken the Spinal Fellowship at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. He gained experience in all aspects of spinal surgery, including deformity, anterior and posterior spinal surgery fusion, minimally invasive surgery, XILF, micro discectomy and decompression, Spinal injection techniques, Sacroiliac joint fusion, endoscopic discectomy and decompressions.

His practice involves the care of all forms of spinal medicine and surgery with a multi-disciplinary approach. He has special interest in Cervical spine, Lumbar spine, Sacroiliac joint pain, spinal deformity, minimally invasive and endoscopic spinal surgery.

Mr Ahmed has specialist interest in adult spinal conditions including degenerative conditions of the spine, spinal deformity, trauma, infection and tumours of the spine.

Mr Ahmed performs the following procedures : Lumbar Discectomy ,Spinal Decompression, Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty, spinal injections, Spinal Fusion Procedures (anterior and posterior ), Inter-spinous process spacers, Cervical Disc replacement, Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF), Posterior Cervical Laminectomy/Laminoplasty , Spinal Fracture Stabilisation, Tumour Surgery, Coccygectomy , Sacroiliac joint stabilisation, Minimally invasive spinal surgery including percutaneous pedicle screws and extreme lateral interbody fusion, Endoscopic lumbar discectomy and decompression.
